Higgins first came to Japan in 2000. He was only 18 at the time but knew he that he wanted to live in Japan. He was fortunate to return during college in 2008 and fell in love with teaching. When he returned to America that summer he changed his major and did everything he could to get back to Japan. In 2012 he moved to Japan and began his career. Teaching had always been something he was fond of but he never realized how fulfilling of a career it could be.
